Name of dynamic: Projection of one's own aging process
Objectives: |
1. Have young people project their own aging process. |
2. Trigger questions on the aging process. |
3. State differences and similarities between the universes of young and the third age. |
Activities: |
Each young person should draw themselves as they imagine they will be at the age of 85. The drawing should be detailed, showing the face, clothing, environment and some activity. |
Then the young people and educator form a circle and each young person explains their drawing to the group. |
The educator should prompt discussion by asking each one to describe their "future" based on the following points:
- What lifestyle will they have?
- What will their occupation be? Will they still be working? In what field of activity?
- Will they be retired? If so, will they have a secondary occupation?
- Which hobby will they have?
- Will they have children, and grandchildren? What kind of relationship will they have with them?
- Will they have health problems? Which ones?
- Will their personality be modified in any way by aging?
- What will their marital status be?
- What will their affective and sexual life be like?
- Will they feel eager to learn new things? What things?
In conclusion, the educator closes the discussion by highlighting the characteristics that emerged more frequently and any unusual points. |
