Name of the dynamic: Preparing an introduction for the senior
Objectives:
1. Guidance for the first encounter between the young person and the senior.
2. Prepare an introduction for the future student.
3. Do a demonstration of a computer resource for the senior student.
NB: Using this dynamic or any other activity with the same purpose is a crucial part of introducing the young person to the senior.
Activities:
The young people use a computer to devise an introduction (perhaps using PowerPoint) for their future senior student.
The presentation should contain personal information on the young person:
- Name;
- Age;
- What they like to do;
- What they expect from the course;
- What they expect (or imagine) from their student;
- Other points.
The educators explain to the young people that the first contact with the senior student will be through this presentation.
Note:
The educator's role is to ensure that the presentations are clear, the technological resources were well used and the language is right for seniors.
